Our Support for the Armed Forces Community

We actively support the Armed Forces community through various initiatives:

Employment Support for Service Personnel

We maintain strong connections with the British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) and regularly attend their events. Additionally, we keep a digital presence on their website to ensure service personnel are aware of the career opportunities available at Callen-Lenz.

Career Insight Days for Veterans and Military Leavers

Our career insight days are tailored for military leavers and veterans to help them transition smoothly into civilian careers. These events offer valuable advice, insight, and the chance to connect directly with our team to discuss how their skills and experiences can be applied within our organisation.

Support for Reservists

We recognise the critical role reservists play and are committed to supporting them by offering the flexibility to fulfil their duties without affecting their career progression. We understand the importance of balancing civilian and military careers and strive to make this balance as seamless as possible.

Our Journey to the Bronze Award

Our path to the Bronze Award reflects our values of innovation, support, and commitment. Founded in 2007, Callen-Lenz began with a focus on aviation consultancy, leading the way in uncrewed flight operations. Over time, we became a leader in uncrewed aviation technology, pioneering advancements such as drone-based photogrammetric data capture and achieving global recognition in the field by 2010.

We’ve consistently pushed the boundaries of aviation, developing autopilot systems through our subsidiary SkyCircuits and creating autonomous solutions for both civil and defence applications.

Since 2012, Callen-Lenz has supported both UK and international organisations in the development of drone, RPAS, and EVTOL/PAV technologies. These efforts have helped us build strong relationships with defence and commercial clients, including long-standing collaborations with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). These partnerships have not only enhanced our technological capabilities but have shaped our approach to building a highly skilled and dedicated team committed to supporting the Armed Forces community.

In 2025, we signed the Armed Forces Covenant, reinforcing our pledge to support veterans, service leavers, and reservists. Our journey has been guided by our core values of integrity, support, and dedication—values that define everything we do at Callen-Lenz. This commitment was recognised with the MoD Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award, celebrating our ongoing dedication to exceeding the expectations of the Armed Forces Covenant.

Looking to the Future

As we look ahead, Callen-Lenz remains committed to aligning with the values of the Armed Forces Covenant. We will continue to strengthen our partnerships with organisations like BFRS to create proactive career opportunities for veterans and service personnel, ensuring their successful transition into civilian careers.

We will proudly display the Armed Forces Covenant logo on our marketing materials and website, reinforcing our ongoing pledge to support the Armed Forces community and recognising the tremendous value military personnel bring to our workforce.

Moving forward, we are dedicated to maintaining an inclusive environment that offers long-term opportunities for those who have served, while continuing to push the boundaries of innovation in the aviation sector.
